Mahmooda Qureshi, MD, MSCP, DipABLM
I am a mid-career primary care physician at MGH with appointments at the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind-Body Medicine, Midlife and Menopause clinic / Division of Women’s Health at BWH, and am an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School. My medical degree is from the University Of London, UK, Residency and Women’s Health Fellowship from the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, and coach certification from Wellcoaches. I’ve been a PCP at the Cleveland Clinic, Brockton Hospital, Harvard Vanguard, and now at Bulfinch Medical Group, MGH.
In essence, my passion is to help people flourish in ways they find meaningful.
Hobbies include traveling, outdoor activities, art, gardening, volunteering in my community, and being with my family, friends and cats. I grew up in Pakistan, Uganda, Egypt, and Ital, and the US is now home.
Several years ago, I was coached by a physician-coach, and was transformed from burnout to rekindling my passion for medicine, and onto thriving on my own terms. Since then, I have coached residents, APPs, physicians, faculty and more, coaching them to thrive aligned with their strengths and values.
Being a physician-coach has been an immense asset when coaching physicians and healthcare workers, especially since the COVID-19 pandemic. Coaching lends itself to any situation, though areas of coaching that appeal to me are self-care/work-life balance; individualized career growth, be it when feeling stuck, leadership development, or when excitement and opportunity abound and requires individualized focus; exploring your life's purpose; burnout; career transition; and achieving your best life. Although I coach non-physicians and outside of MGB, coaching physicians in our system is particularly rewarding. I look forward to being your coach to explore your strengths, values, needs, and catalyze your transformation.
